Columbia Heights High School Class of 1965 – 50th CLASS REUNION
As you may be aware, Dick Mumbleau retired from reunion organizing after our 45th a great deal of gratitude for his leadership for seven straight reunions. Thank you, Dick!!!
For our Golden 50th Class Reunion, I have agreed to take on the responsibility as chair. Although filling Dick’s shoes will be difficult, I am excited to take on this challenge particularly for this milestone event for all of us. Over the years, I have experienced volunteer leadership positions, so I know and look forward to the responsibility.
We are underway with organizing a terrific weekend. We have received many ideas as well as survey results from a sampling of the class. Here’s what we would like from you:
1) SAVE THE DATE...the weekend of June 26 & 27, 2015. Our 50th Columbia Heights Jamboree. We are investigating several great ideas surrounding the Jamboree weekend. Our 50th reunion will coincide with the Columbia Heights Jamboree.
2) SPREAD THE WORD... Please make certain other classmates have received this email. If not, forward their contact information to Dick at - mumbl001@gmail.com. Yes, Dick has agreed to continue to be involved! He is our 2015 Database Chair.
3) VISIT OUR WEB SITE... Visit our newly designed & created CHHS ‘65 web site! The web site location is www.Chhs65.classquest.com Please register and frequently visit for calendar updates and classmate contributions– be a contributor! The Golden Committee will be adding & posting plans as they develop. Thanks to Bruce Edwards for being our 2015 reunion Webmaster.
4) VOLUNTEER NOW...We are seeking key volunteers to accept responsibility for promotion, weekend events and publicity. Contact me - jimhemak@aol.com (952)474-5866 for more information about open positions.
5) HELP WITH LOCATING CLASSMATES...Dick is also looking for assistance to find classmates who are not currently in his database, have relocated or have changed their email address. He will soon be forwarding a list of prospects with instructions for selection, timeframes, etc. With the popularity of Facebook, LinkedIn, Classmates.com, Google, etc., the opportunity to locate classmates is better than ever. Everyone can assist ... lend a hand and please let Dick know you are available to assist his efforts.
